Game Review - VR Invaders: Wave Shooter Winners A) Genre This is a first person shooter game, similar to many other new VR games, this is a first-person wave shooter that uses position-tracked controls to simulate a gun and, in this case, a shield. With many new upcoming VR games all basing around the same genre and theme of first person shooter games, it has became increasingly difficult to differentiate between these games, although what I have found is that VR Invader seems to be one of the most popular in the genre and is rated much higher than other similar games such as; Bandit Six, Dick Widle and Unearthing Mars. B) Narrative/Storyline The game is set in 2046, you play as a hacker that enters the VR world to attempt to take down and destroy viruses, which are represented as robotic drones. You roam round the map trying to take down and destroy as many robotic drones as you can, and when you kill a certain amount of a specific drone a virus will be destroyed. Outside of t...

Game - 'Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality' - VR Game reviews are extremely important to a game and to users too. They are important for the game as it lets them know what the users like and don't like about their game, letting them know what they need to improve and what is working well. However, reviews are very useful for gamers too, as a review can persuade a user whether they think the game is going to be worth the money and whther they will enjoy playing a game or not. When deciding whether or not the user will buy the game, the user will look at the games review and specifically at things like the rating, what other users have said about the game, and what the game is similar too, because if the game is similar to a game they have played before they are more likely to play and enjoy the game. Therefore, reviews are very important in the gaming industry, especially for smaller games, as a good review can really improve the amount of sales the game makes. Website 1...

Analysis of a range of computer/console games: Game 1 - Fifa 17 - PS4 A) Genre EA Sports have been very successful with Fifa as it has become one of the most popular console games in the world. Fifa falls under the sports category, considering it is a game entirely based around football it would be very hard to argue that it falls under any other category. Fifa is also a simulation game as it follows a story and a process. B) Narrative/Storyline Fifa 17 was the first ever Fifa to follow a story line. Usually with other Fifa's the whole game was centred around its kick off centre, where people could play against each other, and ultimate team, where people could play online against each other with the team which they have made. However, Fifa 17 has introduced The Journey, where users play the role of Alex Hunter, a new player beginning his career in the premier league. The user then plays with Hunter and tries to improve his footballing ability and his footballing career, t...
